Your Second Visit to Our Cheyenne Office
Your second visit will answer many of the questions that are likely on your mind after the thorough examination process of your first visit
Report of Findings
After we study your health history and correlate our examination findings, we'll make recommendations designed to help you get and keep your health. We call this the Report of Findings.
1. What is wrong with me?
2. How can you help me?
3. How long will it take?
4. What will my treatment cost?
The Report of Findings is usually attended to on your second visit, which may be later the same day or the following day. This two-visit approach accomplishes several things:
• Reduces the length of your first visit
• Gives us time to correlate our findings
• Avoids overloading you with too much information.
If the doctor feels he can help you and should you decide to begin care that day, treatment will be done after the report of findings. Much like the first visit the treatment could include physical therapy, and/or soft tissue treatment as well as a chiropractic adjustment. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime. For information on our spinal adjustment techniques click here.
Prior to leaving, the doctor may give you additional paperwork, exercise prescription, or other home care options. If you are in pain when you first come into our office these home care options may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches.
If we cannot help you we will not accept you as practice member and can help make arrangements for other types of doctors for you to see. For some this might include an MRI or CT scan. We have a network of medical specialists that we have networked with over the years.
For those that we accept, we allow an additional 15 minutes to talk you through your first adjustment and/or physiotherapy session. Total second visit time: 30-45 minutes. We allow additional time on your second visit to review your case findings, answer questions, and make specific recommendations.
