When a woman’s pregnant, additional weight gain caused by the baby shifts her center of gravity forward onto her pelvis. This usually results in extra stress on her joints, pelvis and lower back. As the baby continues to grow, the increased weight causes and increase in the curvature of her lower back, causing an additional strain on the delicate facet joints on the spine.
Many studies have shown that about half of all pregnant women develop pain in their lower backs at one point or another during their pregnancy. Chiropractic care during pregnancy can help create an atmosphere for a calmer and safer delivery, as well as assisting in the reduction of pain and distress that can be experienced in pregnancy.

Make certain to get adjusted regularly. Chiropractic care is significant to support a strong skeletal structure and nervous system function during a pregnancy.
Strive for some gentle exercise each day like, swimming, stationary cycling, or walking. These types of exercise can be safe to do while you’re pregnant. Insure proper footwear is worn, flat shoes and arch support is recommended. During pregnancy, feet become more prone to injury due to the increased weight, but also because your ligaments in your feet tend to become more lax.
Make sure when picking up children to bend with your knees and not with your waist. During pregnancy, woman’s back become more disposed to injury.
One thing that helps while sleeping is to put a pillow between your knees. Doing so will alleviate excess pressure off your already strained lower back.
A good trick for getting rid of nausea is to eat several small meals instead of three big meals. By doing this you will help stabilize blood sugar and give your body the chance to extract the full amount of nutrients capable from the food in which you’re eating.
